Normann Copenhagen | Ring Box Large - Taupe by Rongrong Zhang

Ring is a series of small, elegant boxes to store small personal belongings such as jewellery, cosmetic and stationery items. The Ring box is made of glossy, powder-coated steel, available in three different sizes in earthy tones of sand, grey and taupe. The golden ring on the lid serves a functional purpose while also being a decorative detail.

Designer

Since 2014, Rongrong Zhang has been a part of Normann Copenhagen’s in-house design team based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Rongrong was born in 1989 in Qingdao in the eastern Shandong province of China. She graduated as a Bachelor of engineering from Shandong University, after which she moved to Sweden and got a Master of Arts at the University of Lund. With this path, Rongrong is not schooled in design in a traditional sense and does not carry with her the same design heritage that is often related to Denmark. However, the young designer considers it liberating not to be predisposed to a certain view of design.
